I am a Registered Dance/Movement Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist with over 8 years of experience helping children, adolescents, adults and seniors with their emotional, physical, and psychological needs. I have worked with a wide range of populations including Autism Spectrum, Dementia, Parkinson’s, children with hearing and speech impairment, cerebral palsy, juvenile drug addiction, trauma, mental health challenges as well as life issues. I have worked in a variety of settings over the years including schools, juvenile centres, Adult Day Programs and private community organizations.
I completed my Bachelor degree at Mount Carmel College and a Master of Science degree in Psychological Counselling in India. My passion and love for movement, dance and psychology pushed me to pursue another Masters in Expressive Arts Therapy: Dance/Movement Therapy with a Specialization in Mental Health Counselling from Lesley University, Massachusetts.
My approach is non-judgmental, genuine and person-centered. I use the Gestalt Therapy – the ‘here’ and ‘now’ approach, focusing on the client’s expression of feelings through movement. I believe that body and mind are two important elements that work together. Along with working on the body, I focus on the mind too, using Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) to help clients with self esteem, identity and anxiety challenges. I use a variety of interventions and skills within these frameworks to help clients work toward the goals that are meaningful to them.
My skills of observation, intuition and creativity have enabled me to work in depth with clients over the years. As a dancer, a dance teacher and a therapist, I utilize my ability to delve into the intricacies of body and mind in order to be able to support my clients in improving emotional, physical and psychological well-being.

Many of us face challenges that can sometimes feel overwhelming to navigate on our own. Although professional support can be an important part of healing, asking for help is not always easy. I recognize that taking that first step can feel difficult, and I aim to provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with understanding and care.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and domestic violence. My goal is to create a therapeutic relationship that feels collaborative, respectful, and grounded in your unique needs and lived experiences.
I am committed to providing inclusive, affirming care and welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and identities. I offer LGBTQIA2S+ affirming therapy, as well as support for sexual health and women’s health concerns. I work with clients wanting to discuss cultural identity, family expectations, or intergenerational trauma in a culturally responsive way.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists
of Ontario (CRPO). In my educational journey, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology
and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. As a person and professional, I strongly believe
in healing and personal growth through safe and meaningful human connection. In my job as a
psychotherapist, I offer a safe, caring, and non-judgemental space for clients to be and learn
about themselves so they can move toward the life they want to live. Through a collaborative
therapeutic relationship, I help clients understand the issues that brought them to therapy,
discover and expand their strengths, develop self-directed goals, and identify ways to achieve
them.
I am passionate about people’s inner worlds and witnessing their self-awareness and healing
unfold through psychotherapy.
I have always been fascinated by people’s emotions, thoughts, behaviours, desires, and
resiliency. In my late teens, I already knew in my heart I wanted to be a psychotherapist to assist
people in their self-discovery and healing journeys, as supporting family, friends, and sometimes
strangers during hardships felt natural to me. Besides, experiencing the benefits of psychotherapy
first-hand throughout my life inspired me to pursue formal education and training as a
psychotherapist. I now have the privilege and honour to support teens and adults in moving
through life challenges and mental health-related issues, including anxiety, depression, substance
abuse and addictions, trauma, stress management, anger management, emotional regulation, low
self-esteem, insecure attachment, life transitions, and relationship difficulties. I also support
couples in developing a healthy and strong bond so they can find their way back to each other
and navigate life together with more confidence and ease.
My Approach
My approach to treatment is holistic as I consider the diverse contributing factors involved in a
client’s suffering and the strengths and resources that can aid their healing and growth. My
practice is anchored in values of partnership, acceptance, non-judgement, compassion, and
honesty. Through a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive lens, I tailor
therapy to clients’ individual needs and preferences by using varying therapy modalities,
including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Dialectical
Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness,
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Compassionate Inquiry (CI). I also offer services in
English and Portuguese.
